HOPSS wins ‘PintaFlores’ top prize
The Hospital Operations and Patient Support Service (HOPSS) Division brought home the championship trophy and the Php 400,000 grand cash prize in this year’s Region 1 Medical Center’s PintaFlores Festival dance competition held December 13 at the hospital front parking area.
Coming in as the first, second, and third runners-up were the Nursing Division, the Medical Division and the Finance/Allied/Ancillary Cluster with Php 300,000, Php 200,000, and 100,000 cash prizes, respectively.
Additional highlight of the program was the selection of the PintaFlores Festival Queen from representatives of each cluster, with Randulph “Randioza” Sanchez from the HOPSS Division winning the title and the Php 20,000 cash prize.
Contenders from Medical Division, Nursing Division, and Finance/Allied/Ancillary Cluster namely, Dr. Wilda Silva, Marvin Albert Jefferson “Maj” Bancod, and Jayvee Renz “Jibang” Cruz, were named first, second, and third runners-up with Php 15,000, Php 10,000, and Php 5,000 cash prizes, respectively.
Witnessing the dance spectacular with R1MC Chief Dr. Joseph Roland O. Mejia was Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Dr. Elmer Punzalan.
Serving as the judges were: Dr. Paula Paz Sydiongco, Ilocos Center for Health Development director; Richard Paras, talent coordinator; Ms. Liza Punzalan, the DOH undersecretary’s wife; Atty. Charlene Mira, Office of the Vice Mayor of Mangaldan’s chief of staff; and Louie Ocampo, Pangasinan Provincial Government internal auditor.
Awarding proper was held during the hospital’s General Assembly & Christmas Party at CSI Stadia, Lucao, Dagupan City on Dec. 16. /RMCL
